I’m Laura and I love hunting for vintage treasures! After five years of working for the man, I’ve decided to do a little work for myself on the side, opening my own online vintage shop on Etsy, Temple Of Vintage. My own home is loaded down with Danish Modern teak, fine mid century modern furniture, original artwork, and European glass. My private collection comes from relentless hunting at thrift stores, garage sales, and estate sales. I utilize these same shopping skills to provide very high quality vintage items on my shop. I refuse to buy any merchandise for my shop that I would not be willing to keep and use in my own home, so I only hunt for the best of the best. Regarding my background; I’m from West Texas and have a degree in History with a French minor. I work full time at a high stress government job and run the shop in my limited spare time. My favorite picks are artwork and glass (especially Scandinavian and Murano). Though I love mid century decor and design, I do believe a little goes A LONG WAY and prefer more understated pieces. This blog is about my relentless search for the next treasure for myself and my shop, since I can’t keep it all (according to my husband).
