1960s Denmark by Way of Greenland

As stated in earlier posts, my husband is a geophysicist specializing in ice sheets. He goes to Antarctica every winter and for the past two springs has gone to Greenland as well. He’s currently working in Qaanaaq, (formerly Thule) one of the most northern settlements on the planet. Greenland is Danish territory and the hubs is quite aware of my obsession with anything Danish, so he’s some pics from his stay including some Danish Modern goodies. Enjoy!

They’re staying on one of these colorful fishing cabins, a fun contrast against the snow.

The second photo was taken at midnight.

Polar bear art in the cabin.

Danish teak dining room table and sectionals.

AMAZING Danish Modern pendant lamp with various scientists in the background.
